Handsome Little Man

He's Arrived!!!

We are so happy to announce that Caleb Keith Crow has joined our family!!! I was scheduled to be started on Sept. 19th at 38 weeks. I had a feeling that I wasn't going to make it to 38 weeks. So I went to bed Friday night and around 1am woke up with major back pain, and then some terrible contractions. I went down stairs so that I wouldn't wake Terryl up since I could hardly stay still while in a contraction. I didn't think I was in labor, but I knew these contractions were nothing like what I had been having for the past month. Soon I was in some serious pain. I woke Terryl up and we started talking about if we should go into the hospital or not. I really didn't want to go to the hospital unless I was in real labor. I had gone to the hospital too many times and come back home. But the contractions continued and increased in frequency and pain, and soon I really didn't have a choice but to go in. We woke Maddie up at 4am and headed to the hospital. When I got there and was checked out I was dilated almost to a 6. I then wanted to kick myself for not coming in earlier! The nurse started to try and have me do the breathing exercises, but it wasn't working for me. Breathing just wasn't cutting it and I really just wanted my epidural quick! So by 4:30am I was numb and much more comfortable. And by 8:01am Caleb had arrived! With Maddie I pushed for 2 hours! With Caleb I pushed for 3 min! What a huge difference! So our little Caleb was born on 9/10/11, weighing 5 lbs 12 oz. 19 3/4 in. long. He was 36 wks and 5 days, and totally healthy! It was a sweet moment to finally meet him and hold him. He is a sweet little guy, who eats well and sleeps great. Maddie has been at her Grandma and Grandpa Snow's house while we adjust to our new little addition. She met him the day he was born, but only interested in his pacifier. It will be interesting managing the two. We are so excited to have Caleb join our family and feel so blessed to have two very special children from our Heavenly Father to raise. Pictures coming soon

Summer Fun

Today we decided to blow up the pool and see how Maddie took to it. Well she loved it and she had a great time tossing the ball with her Daddy. With me being pregnant and not always feeling so great, this poor girl has had little outdoor exposure. So the days I do feel good, I am trying to make up for lost time! She loves sticking her face in the water, which surprised me. She finds fun in whatever she is doing, and is so much fun to watch play.

To many things to count!

It has been a long time since I posted last, and there has been so many changes. Mostly with Madalynn. She has grown leaps and bounds it has seemed. From walking, to talking, and all the new discoveries that she has found. A few that sticks out to me are.... Loves to sign "Popcorn popping on an Apricot tree" She has really caught on to a ton of signs, which is really fun and rewarding to see. She loves to read stories, and I mean SHE likes to read them. You have no clue what she is saying, but she will gabber and point to certain things on the page and then turn the page and continue. It is the cutest thing I think I have seen! She will also sing along to some of her favorite songs in a very similar way, but there is no doubt she is singing. ( O : Her vocabulary is growing daily, some of the newer ones are Bye (which she tells me at every nap/bedtime) "mmmmmmm Soooo Good!" All Done More, see, tree, two, three These are just a few She is just such a joy to have around. She makes you so happy to be around. Life is just so full of great things in her eyes and she makes sure that you see them as well. I am so blessed to be able to be home with her, and experience all these joys with her.

Girl?...Boy?...

Well this last week I had an appointment, and asked if there was a chance of checking to see if we could tell the gender. The nurse thought at 16wks was a little early but she was good enough to give it a try. Madalynn was very willing to give us our answer at 15wks. So I was hopeful. And this one was just as willing to show it all, probably a little more so. We are having a BOY!!! We are so excited to meet him!!!

We are Expanding!

Well we wanted to let everyone know that we will be having another adorable baby in October! Yup, it's true, little banbino #2 is on its way! We are very happy and excited about this little one. Madalynn doesn't realize it yet, but she is really excited as well. ( O : I just returned from an appt. and it was so great to see the little heart beat and it wiggling around. I am about 13wks right now, and things seem to be going as smooth as I could expect for me. The Lupus hasn't been as big as a fan of the pregnancy as it was with Maddi. I have occational joint pain from the lupus, which is disappointing, but nothing to severe. We will be keeping you posted as time goes on. Love you all!!

Is it me or Blogger?

Just would like to say, after fighting with my computer and blogger, I give up! The next post is a mess. I would like to fix it, but it just isn't meant to be this time, so you will have to handle it. I am putting complete blame on Blogger. ( o:

A Run Down on the Past Few Months....

I have been a slacker in the blogging department, but life gets busy. So to back up to Thanksgiving. We went to Terryl's parents this year and was able to spend so time with his family. Many hadn't seen Maddi in a very long time, so she had grown up quite a bit since the last time we were there. When we left they gave us our Christmas gifts so that we could just take them home. One of which was this amazing wood bowl that Terryl's dad made. I believe it made it out of a tree stump. But really it is a beautiful bowl! He does an amazing job with wood, it's incredible! Terryl was making fun of me on the way home because I wanted to hold the bowl. I really was excited, and I still plan on putting a picture of it on the blog, so all can love my bowl as much as I do! Seriously, I would take all the bowls he makes; don't know what I would do with them all, but they are just so amazing! It has found it's home on our coffee (hot chocolate) table with some pretty purples balls. ( That sounds lame I know, but it looks pretty)
Ok moving on from the bowl, we were getting ready for Miss Maddi's 1st birthday! Unbelievable how fast it has gone by! I had fun getting her gifts for birthday and Christmas. We just had a few family members over and had cake and ice cream. She wasn't a fan of cake or ice cream! The faces that she gave us were great! She loved her gifts, and like everyone should do, they went straight into the mouth to see if they would be a satisfactory toy. They have all passed her inspection! She wore her birthday clothes I bought, it says "joy" you know her middle name...I thought it was cute.
First taste of ice cream...
As you can see, she loved it!!!
Then just a few days after that was Christmas. Doing birthday and Christmas right in a row like that, I can see getting exhausting! But Christmas was great, Maddi opened a few of her gifts then crawled over to play with some of her old blocks, we had to redirect her so she could finish opening gifts. It was wonderful to be home and just have our little family together. I don't like traveling somewhere on Christmas, I love being home on that day.
Since then Maddi has been a developmental sponge! It seems everyday she has discovered something new that she can do. She loves to pull herself up on her knees and peek into her toy box or anything else she can find. She loves to stand, but only if you help her get up first. So we have made great progress and soon we will be having a cute little person waddling around our house! Can't wait! She is also picking up signing more. She can do milk and loves to do "more" though she doesn't know what "more" means, she does know the sign and loves to do it! It's really cute!
That was a really quick overview of the past several months. I am sure more details will pop in and I will post them when they come. I hope you all had a great holiday season, and we look forward to a great year!!
